FAQs
How does Filestage’s online proofing software save time compared to email reviews?
Filestage saves teams time in three key ways: organizing communications, reducing versions, and speeding up feedback. Here’s some extra context:
1. Organizing communications – Filestage puts all your projects’ files, versions, feedback, and approvals in one place. This totally removes time currently spent consolidating comments, recapping changes, and getting people on the same page.
2. Reducing versions – By making feedback clear, precise, and transparent, Filestage reduces the number of review rounds needed to get from v1 to final.
3. Speeding up feedback – In Filestage, reviewers give feedback directly on top of images, videos, and other creative assets. This is much faster than taking screenshots or writing out timecodes to share over email.
Do people need an account to give feedback?
No, reviewers don’t need an account to give feedback or approve files in Filestage. We know this is especially important for agencies reviewing work with clients or marketing teams with stakeholders in other departments. So we make it super easy for new reviewers to get started.
When you invite someone to review a file, they’ll get an email with a link that takes them straight into Filestage. Then they’re all set to start adding comments. For reviewers using Filestage regularly, we do offer a free account with extra features to help manage higher review volumes – but it’s only there for those who want it.
How do we know our teammates or clients will use it?
We’ll let our customers do the talking on this one:
“Filestage received quick acceptance within the team and other departments because it is so easy to use.” – Sixt
“We don’t force anyone in the team to use Filestage. Yet, everyone sees its value and is happy to use it.” – Kärcher
“Every time we introduce the tool to a new client, they’re impressed by its functionality and ease of use.” – Story
Can we work with freelancers in Filestage?
Absolutely! You can give freelancers guest access to specific projects. This will allow them to upload new files or versions, start reviews, and access feedback. But you’ll still be in charge of the process and approval workflow.
