Can you describe the key problems you were facing before you started using Filestage?

As the video department of the company, we have to share a lot of files with all corporate and franchise departments across the world.

Before using Filestage we used many different channels like email, cloud drives, or chat messengers to share files and exchange feedback on files.

Since every department preferred to use different communication channels, it was hard to keep track of all the files and feedback.

How has your approval process changed with Filestage?

Filestage has simplified the approval process for us and the departments we are working with. Also, it is now much easier for us to process the collected feedback since we can access all the information in a single place.

Even the takeover of a project by a colleague is no longer a problem since everyone in the team has access to the feedback of a file at any time. This also has a positive effect on the perception of our team since we can directly jump in and take over any project if a colleague is absent.

“Filestage received a quick acceptance within the team and the other departments because it is so easy to use and accessible.”

Angelika Schneider, Executive Creative Direction Motion Design

How did the team adapt to working with Filestage?

Filestage received quick acceptance within the team and the other departments because it is so easy to use and accessible. That’s not common, often some persuasion is needed to get people to use new technologies.

We also recognized very soon that within the briefing process colleagues actively asked us to share videos via Filestage.

What benefits does Filestage provide to your team?

In Filestage it is always clear which file the feedback refers to since the comment is directly placed on the video file. Since we have a very high project volume, this is especially helpful when we work with colleagues on multiple projects at the same time.

In addition, our clients can easily share the link with as many colleagues as they like and everyone can leave their feedback. Also, different viewpoints can be discussed in a clear and concise way, and in the end, we have all the collected feedback in one file.

Furthermore, Filestage helped us to reduce the miscommunication in video approvals since feedback can’t get lost over a series of emails or because of incorrect time data.

Which features do you like at Filestage?

We like at Filestage that reviewers don’t need to create an account or log in to give feedback. Also, you can view every file in the browser without the need to download it.

When reviewing files we appreciate the chat function and the possibility to give time-based feedback directly on the video.

Furthermore, we like that you can download approved videos in full quality but at the same time, you can restrict the download function of files if needed.
